Western United forward Besart Berisha admitted that he is unhappy with ending up on the losing side on a derby day loss to Melbourne City.
The Truganina-based club took the lead after 22 minutes, with Ivan Vujica shaking off his marker to send the ball home with a well timed header.
Ten minutes later, Patrick Kisnoro’s men fought back hard and levelled the score with a flash of individual brilliance from Craig Noone.
The scoreline remained inseparable until the 84th minute, when Adrian Luna played an incisive pass through to Stefan Colakovski, who made an excellent run and cut one back for Jamie Maclaren to score a peach of a poacher’s goal.
“We lost an important game,” Berisha told FOX Sports after the match.
“It’s a derby. I thought we had the game in control.
“We looked good, especially in the first-half. I don’t know, we gave it away.”
Western United are currently winless after their first two games in the A-League this season, and will play host to Perth Glory at Kardinia Park on Saturday.
