Bobo insists that he is really looking forward to represent Sydney FC again following his recent return to the club.
After leaving the club in 2018, the Brazilian hitman returned to New South Wales recently and went through quarantine to start training with the Sky Blues.
Sydney head coach Steve Corica has since manintained that the veteran forward is nearing full fitness, and speculation is rife that the 36-year-old is close to the level of fitness required to make an appearance.
While Bobo himself admits that he is still unsure if he has enough in the tank to last a gruelling 90 minutes on the pitch, he insists that he is rearing to play for the Sky Blues again.
“I can’t wait to meet the fans again, it sure will be great,” Bobo said, according to the club’s official website.
“I hope to score for them. It has been a long wait but I feel fit and ready, and I can’t wait to get going again in front of these fantastic supporters.
“Since leaving Australia in 2018, I have never forgotten the fans here and how they’ve always backed our club, and it will be a pleasure to play in front of them once more.”
Sydney FC will take on Brisbane Roar in an important game at the Kograh on Saturday in a game that promises to be an encounter between two teams that have a serious chance to achieve A-League glory this season.
