Newcastle Jets have announced the signings of midfielders Syahrian Abimanyu & Liridon Krasniqi from Malaysian club Johor Darul Ta’zim on loan for the rest of the season.
Krasniqi is a 29-year-old Kosovan-Malaysian who came through the ranks at Slavia Praha with experience playing in Czech Republic and Turkey, and has been plying his trade in Malaysia since 2015.
During his time with Kedah Darul Aman, the experienced attacking midfielder was a part of the side that won the Malaysia Premier League in 2015 and the Malaysia FA Cup and Charity Shield in 2017.
Abimanyu, however, does not have the same level of experience, but the 21-year-old is a part of the Indonesia U-23 squad and has earned nine appearances so far for The Young Garuda.
While the official announcement does not contain any information concerning whether Krasniqi has arrived in Australia, the club have confirmed that Abimanyu is currently in quarantine in Sydney.
