Neil Kilkenny has admitted that Perth Glory are looking forward to the upcoming clash with Melbourne Victory at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium on Tuesday night.
Richard Garcia’s charges come into this fixture following a hard fought 5-4 defeat to Western United, which is likely to go down as an A-League classic.
Despite the defeat, the veteran midfielder believes that his side can overcome Grant Brebner’s men on the day, as youngsters Carlo Armiento, Nicholas D’Agostino, Dane Ingham and Daniel Stynes have all put in strong performances so far.
Meanwhile, the Melbourne-based outfit will come into this game looking for their first points of the season, after back-to-back defeats to Brisbane Roar and Adelaide United.
“We’re really looking forward to the Melbourne Victory game,” Kilkenny told reporters.
“They haven’t had the best of starts so far this season. But they are a good team and they will have their home crowd behind them.
“So we’re really looking forward to it. I’m sure the young lads will be looking forward to playing in front of one of the best and loudest crowds in the league.”
